Students working in the Hub will need to be able to work well independently, with minimal teacher input and have good study habits.
Course description:
This option is available to students in the senior school (primarily for Year 12 and 13 students only) who require an opportunity to achieve their individualised academic goals and to meet their differentiated needs. Please note: Enrolment of Year 11 students will be on a case-by-case basis after consultation with the Senior Leadership Team.

A) Studying alternative pathways through an outside provider
Early Childhood ( Instant Education Solutions)
Rural Education (Telford - Agriculture)
Tourism ( New Zealand School of Tourism)
Southern Institute of Technology - SIT ( Health and Wellbeing, Hair and Beauty, Business, Retail and Workplace Skills, Animal Care needs Vet placement)
Trades (Wintec Trades Academy)
B) Studying a subject through an outside provider
C) Studying a subject at university level.
University Papers (University of Waikato, University of Canterbury and Lincoln)
NOTE: Students must advise their Dean/Mrs Ryan in writing and complete an entry form explaining their interest in the Hub, before the subject selection deadline.
Students must also attend a confirmation interview with their Dean and/or Mrs Ryan before this deadline to discuss their potential Hub programme. Student enrolment in the Hub will not be confirmed without this meeting.
