Course description:
Learn to process and report financial information for partnership and company ownership types, and apply the techniques of analysis and interpretation to make investment and management decisions. The course is very comprehensive and is an excellent foundation for business management, business investment or business ownership.

The following topics are included:
The conceptual basis of accounting in context for business entities.
Accounting for partnerships and companies.
Process financial information for a manufacturing job-cost subsystem.
Management decision-making.
Assessment:
Internal – up to 8 NCEA Level 3 credits.
External – up to 9 NCEA Level 3 credits.
Literacy standards worth 17 credits.
Numeracy standards worth 8 credits.
