Classical Studies is about exploring the stories, ideas and people that have shaped the world we live in today. From legendary heroes and powerful rulers to democracy, mythology, art and philosophy, you'll investigate the fascinating worlds of Ancient Greece and Rome and discover why they still matter over 2,000 years later.

This course goes beyond learning about the past. You'll explore timeless questions about power, identity, leadership, justice, love and human nature, drawing connections between the ancient world and modern society. Along the way, you'll analyse myths, debate historical issues, examine archaeological evidence and discover how classical ideas continue to influence films, books, politics, sport and popular culture.
