Course of study:
During this course you will learn sentence structures and vocabulary that will enable you to read, listen, converse and write in Te Reo Māori confidently. Each year, topics of learning and genre are prescribed by NZQA.
Note: Te Reo Māori classes may be combined with other levels or, alternatively, students may be enrolled with Te Kura (The Correspondence School) and offered support from the Te Reo Māori teacher.
Assessment:
Internal – up to 10 credits at NCEA Level 3.
External – up to 12 credits at NCEA Level 3.
Costs: Nil.
Entry criteria:
A minimum of Paetae (Achieved) in each of the assessed strands in NCEA Level 2 Te Reo Māori.
Future pathways:
This course is on the list of university approved subjects, offering up to 22 Level 3 NCEA credits.
