Everyone that I have worked with really enjoys the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

"After 8 years, two therapists, many self-help books…..my hypochondria and OCD was worse than ever. I figured I would just have to live like this and deal with it. I put on a good show in front of people and cried alone. Then, I stumbled upon Peter’s website. I figured this was my last attempt. Peter is kind, understanding, and patient. He helped guide me out of the dark and see the light. He is truly there to help. He never looks at his time during sessions. I would have to remind him that time is up. His rates are reasonable so everyone cam get proper therapy. He gave me practical tools to use to overcome my anxiety. He is always available via email for advice. He truly cares about the progress of his patients. Peter changed my life and gave me the chance to enjoy my life again. I am eternally grateful to him."

During these Skype sessions of Mindfulness Therapy I will teach you mindfulness-based methods for facilitating recovery from all forms of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, chronic depression, and addiction recovery and other forms of emotional suffering, by applying the very practical teachings of Mindfulness Therapy.

This approach is very effective and most clients see noticeable changes after 3-4 Skype counseling sessions with me.

Online Mindfulness-based Skype Therapy is very effective for controlling anxiety and depression without relying on anti-anxiety medications and antidepressants. It is always better to treat the root cause of your emotional suffering instead of just suppressing symptoms.

Online Therapist for Anxiety Disorders via Skype & Zoom

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional mindfulness-based psychotherapist, and I offer online therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders.

It's very convenient for you to work with an online therapist to get the treatment that you need to help you overcome your anxiety disorder. Many people with anxiety disorders really don't like going to see a therapist in person. They find it rather intimidating.

And also many people don't like taking medications. Anti-anxiety medications like Xanax may provide some temporary relief from symptoms but medications do nothing at all to correct the underlying psychological process that causes your anxiety.

So there are many different types of anxiety disorder that we can treat using Mindfulness Therapy. The most common type is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which really describes a condition of habitual reactive thinking and rumination, catastrophizing, excessive worrying. It's often described as being lost in negative thoughts.

Another type of anxiety disorder that I work with quite a lot is Social Anxiety Disorder, and also it's more severe form as agoraphobia. Social Anxiety Disorder is characterized by excessive fear of what people might be thinking about you. It's difficulty and hyper self-consciousness in social situations. It also describes difficulty in going into crowded areas and so on.

Agoraphobia, of course, describes a condition where a person is really really scared of leaving what we might call a secure area, like home. It's very difficult to go beyond certain comfort boundaries. And that's usually characterized by severe panic attacks.

So Panic disorder is another kind of anxiety disorder that I work with. This describes a very severe emotional contraction, a very intense form of anxiety that is often triggered by specific events or thoughts or situations.

Another type of anxiety disorder is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. And that is characterized, yet again, by habitual reactive thoughts or intrusive thoughts that have a very high emotional charge. And because of the high emotional charge, they keep repeating themselves and it's very difficult to let go of those kind of intrusive thoughts.

So whatever kind of anxiety disorder you have, Mindfulness Therapy is one of the best approaches available for working with these habitual reactive thoughts.

During our sessions I will teach you how to apply mindfulness to work with your particular anxiety disorder, which means learning how to work with these thoughts.

Now thoughts do not create anxiety. That is a common misconception, but they do fuel anxiety that is preexisting. So anxiety creates reactive thoughts, where the reactive thoughts then feed the anxiety and so you get this positive feedback loop that maintains that anxiety and prevents it from resolving and healing.

During Mindfulness Therapy we learn how to change the way we react to the anxiety. We change the way we relate to the anxiety thoughts. We learn to hold them in our conscious awareness without becoming identified with thoughts, without becoming lost in the stream of reactive thinking that feeds the anxiety. And this is one of the most important first parts of the training that I will teach you: how to sit with your thoughts without becoming overwhelmed by them.

And the second part of Mindfulness Therapy is learning how to resolve the underlying anxiety itself. The anxiety is what feeds those thoughts and gives them that emotional charge that causes them to persist and proliferate. And this we do by a variety of methods. But mostly we can describe this as establishing a non-reactive and compassionate relationship with that underlying anxiety. This is what promotes resolution of the anxiety. And once you heal the underlying emotion then the reactive thinking subsides quite naturally.

Contact me through the contact form and let's schedule a session. All therapy sessions are offered by Skype and we can schedule a Skype Therapy Service session to help you work with your anxiety to free yourself from the crippling effects of anxiety disorders without the use of medications or years of analytical type psychotherapy.

Online Therapist for Anxiety Disorders through Skype or Zoom

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional psychotherapist specializing in online therapy for anxiety. There are now a growing number of psychotherapists who offer online therapy for anxiety and indeed it's a very convenient and very effective way of getting help for anxiety.

If you're interested in learning more about working with online therapists for anxiety please go to my website and watch more videos and read more about the mindfulness therapy approach that I specialize in and that I find works very well online.

If you're going to work with an online therapist for helping you overcome anxiety or depression or any other emotional problem, you really need to make sure that the therapist provides Skype or similar video format so you can see each other as well as talk to each other. It's very important to be able to see each other because there's so much communication that goes on besides just simple verbal communication and seeing each other improves the quality of communication substantially.

So I do recommend that if you want to see an online therapist for help with anxiety that you make sure that they provide Skype to allow you to have your therapy sessions through Skype.

If you want to learn more about mindfulness therapy go to my website and read more about it.

But, basically during these online therapy sessions that I offer over Skype I'll teach you exactly how to apply mindfulness for overcoming the habit of anxiety or fear or any other form of anxiety disorder.

These are habits that we acquire usually starting in childhood, but they are habits and like any habits it can be changed. But to do that you have to develop a very conscious and open relationship with your anxiety or fear. You must learn to face your fear. But you must not try to get rid of the fear by suppression or trying to distract yourself with some activity to get away from it, because if you do that you will simply feel the fear.

So, the biggest problem that I come across over and over again is that people try to avoid their fear or anxiety, sometimes even by meditation, itself, trying to meditate on something pleasant or neutral such as the breath as a way of escaping their anxiety. This is not going to work. And I do not recommend it.

What I teach in my sessions is how to meditate on anxiety directly. That is what needs your help. That's what needs your consciousness and you must really develop a direct conscious relationship with your emotions if you want them to heal and change.

So, if you'd like to learn more about how to apply mindfulness for overcoming anxiety and you're interested in talking to a therapist online over Skype then do please go to my website. Read more about this approach. And then simply email me to schedule a Skype therapy session. I see people all over the world but mostly throughout North America and Western Europe.

So, if you're interested please contact me and let's get started. Thank you.

How to Overcome Anxiety through Mindfulness Meditation Therapy

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is one of the most successful psychotherapies available for overcoming anxiety disorders. It has elements of CBT but focuses much more on changing the actual process that creates anxiety and depression in the mind.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist offering Mindfulness Therapy, which is my specialty and which I talk about in my book, "The Path of Mindfulness Meditation."

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety through mindfulness meditation, do please go to my website and learn more about this unique approach to overcoming anxiety.

Mindfulness Therapy is particularly effective for anxiety and also for depression, and this is because it teaches you how to change your relationship to your emotions and to your thoughts so that you don't become so easily overwhelmed by recurring patterns of emotional reactivity or intrusive thoughts.

This is the major problem that most people face - is what we often call "rumination" or "automatic reactive thinking" that triggers the underlying emotion of depression or anxiety.

Mindfulness allows us to break free from this automatic process by making it conscious. We begin to see the thoughts as triggers and the moment we see the process happening we can stop it right there and then through becoming conscious of that trigger.

With practice you can learn to see thoughts and emotional reactions as they arise in the mind, but then you are able to stop them turning into anxiety and depression. In this way, we take the fuel away from that underlying anxiety or depression. If you stop feeding the fire of anxiety or depression then the emotion will burn itself out and healing becomes possible.

During Mindfulness Therapy we learn how to actually meditate on our anxiety or depression or other painful emotions. And, it is through this process that you begin to change the whole process that creates the emotional suffering.

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety or depression using Mindfulness Therapy, please go to my website and CONTACT ME and then we can schedule a therapy session over Skype.

Mindfulness Therapy works really well through online Skype therapy sessions. So, please go to my website and contact me. Thank you!

Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy via Skype for Managing Anxiety and Depression without using drugs

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist based in Colorado and I offer online therapy for anxiety via Skype. People like the convenience of online therapy, and it is generally a very much more comfortable and less clinical way of approaching anxiety and learning how to manage anxiety and overcome anxiety.

The focus of the approach that I take, which is called Mindfulness Therapy, is about giving you the tools to manage and overcome your anxiety. This is not a treatment-based approach. Treatments are not good for working with anxiety or depression.

Medications are a form of treatment and I do not recommend them either because they do not empower you. They do not give you the tools to overcome the root cause of your anxiety or depression.

You have to look at the underlying psychological cause which consists of reactive habits such as habitual reactive thinking. That's one of the primary causes of our anxiety and depression. We become blindly identified with reactive thoughts and beliefs that end up feeding our anxiety and depression.

So overcoming reactivity is central, and medications or treatment-based approaches are not going to do that. You have to do that yourself by developing more conscious awareness of these underlying habitual processes, and that is the focus of Mindfulness Therapy.

So I offer therapy by Skype and it is really important that you use Skype or a similar video format. You need to be able to see each other, but if you can't see each other, then Skype therapy is just as effective as meeting a therapist in person.

You don't need to be in the same room as the therapist, but you do need to see each other for effective psychotherapy.

If you would like to learn more about online therapy for anxiety using Skype, then do please contact me and ask any questions that you may have. Tell me what you have tried so far. Tell me more about your particular anxiety disorder. And I am happy to answer any questions you have.

The mindfulness approach is very, very effective if you are interested in healing your anxiety. If you're interested in really changing things at the deep level, the core level rather than just treating symptoms.

One of the most important first principles that you'll be learning is how to break free from reactive identification. This is the root cause of the problem. It's more important than thoughts or beliefs or memories or the emotional reactions themselves.

The real issue is that we become blindly identified with thoughts and beliefs, emotional reactions and and so on. We become identified, we become blindly attached to these objects in the mind, basically, which is how we describe thoughts and emotions and memories. They are objects that arise in the mind due to certain conditions that trigger them. They exist in the mind for a while and then they usually pass through. But when we become reactive, that stops them healing. It stops the emotions from resolving themselves.

As objects they have no power at all to cause your anxiety. It's only when you identify with those thoughts and emotions that they then gain power and cause you to suffer.

So developing independence or objectivity or objective consciousness is central. And we do this by learning how to meditate on our mind.

So mindfulness meditation, which is what I teach and is the core methodology for healing anxiety and depression involves meditating on those emotions and building this different relationship where you are the observer, instead of just becoming overwhelmed and lost in the stream of reactive thinking and rumination.

So developing that objective relationship to your thoughts and emotions is is vital. It is an absolute step that's required for healing. And it takes training. And the way we train is by meditating on the mind.

Meditation is not an escape from the mind. It's a way of changing your relationship to the mind so that you are not controlled by thoughts and emotions and beliefs and memories and so on.

So that is the first step. We call this the liberating effect of mindfulness. You learn how to meditate on your thoughts and emotions to achieve freedom, then the healing really starts to accelerate once that relationship is well established.

If you'd like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy for anxiety and you you would like to start online therapy for anxiety, then do please contact me and schedule a trial Skype therapy session. Thank you.
