Everyone that I have worked with really benefits from the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

“I have found though that, no matter what life happens to throw at you, mindfulness practice creates a virtuous loop of compassion, wisdom and self-esteem as opposed to a viscous circle of emotional reactivity and its implications. I have recently completed reading Peter’s book and it’s a very helpful and practical guide to understanding and deepening mindfulness practice that I would highly recommend.”

During these online therapy sessions I will teach you how to use mindfulness for promoting recovery from all forms of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, persistent depression, and addiction recovery and other emotional problems, by applying the very effective teachings of Mindfulness Meditation Therapy.

This approach is remarkably effective and you will experience significant recovery after the first few Skype therapy sessions with me.

Online Mindfulness-based Skype Therapy is extremely effective for controlling anxiety and depression without relying on drugs. It is always better to treat the underlying psychological cause of your emotional suffering rather than just suppressing symptoms.

Online Therapist for the Treatment of Anxiety via Skype

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong. I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders.

So mindfulness is an extremely powerful form of conscious awareness that can really make all the difference if you're struggling with anxiety.

So I specialize in teaching mindfulness methods and techniques for overcoming anxiety and I do this online. So if you're interested in talking to an online therapist for anxiety then please contact me and schedule a few online therapy sessions.

The mindfulness approach, as I say, is very powerful indeed and what it fundamentally does is it breaks you out of those unconscious reactive habits that create your anxiety.

So anxiety is best described as a habit rather than some sort of medical disorder. I think that's the wrong approach if you want to overcome anxiety. If you want to just suppress symptoms then you might use a medical approach and ant anxiety medications. But that's not what I advocate, because it does not really address the underlying cause of your anxiety and that is these accumulated unconscious habits, psychological habits that create anxiety.

And during Mindfulness Therapy we look very carefully at these inner habits. We actually learn how to meditate on our anxiety so we can examine it in great detail and see how it works. You look for the triggers, first of all. What are the specific triggers that trigger anxiety reactions? Then we look at what happens in the mind as we replay these triggers during our meditation.

Typically most people see that what really gets triggered in the mind is imagery, some form of internal psychological imagery that has a strong emotional charge. That imagery is what really causes the anxiety. So the trigger triggers the imagery in the mind out of habit and that imagery then triggers the emotion.

So when we meditate on our anxiety we look for this imagery and the more that you see of the details of that imagery the more you can change, because when you see the imagery in the mind consciously, then you're able to change it, you are able to help that imagery change.

For example, very commonly, people say to me that they feel overwhelmed by their anxiety. Well that tells me straightaway that the anxiety imagery is very large. It's also probably above you, it is high in your visual field, the way you see it and the mind. You don't see it on the floor, you see it above you.

Now it has to be above you to be overwhelming. It also has to be very large to be overwhelming. And by that same reasoning, it cannot be overwhelming if it is on the floor, and it cannot be overwhelming if you make it the size of a grain of sand.

So that imagery really defines our emotions. Typically we don't see that imagery because we don't look. Well, during Mindfulness Therapy we do look. We look very closely at the structure of our anxiety to see this imagery and then we explore changing it. We explore changing its size, its position, spatial position, perhaps its color, perhaps its texture.

Typically, when people look at the imagery of anxiety they will usually see red or orange colors. That seems to resonate with the feeling of fear or anxiety. If you are looking at the imagery of depression you would probably not see red or orange, but more likely black or grey or dark purple. Those are very common colors. Again those are part of the structure that creates the emotion.

Just because the emotion has a certain color or a certain size or position it does not mean that it has to stay in the configuration. It only shows up in that way because of habit. So when you bring mindfulness to that habit you bring choice and you can start to change the imagery, and when you change the imagery of anxiety you will diffuse the emotion; you will effectively neutralize it. And it is possible to then sit and examine those triggers, to bring them into the mind, and not experience anxiety. So that's all part of Mindfulness Therapy and that's what I teach online. And it works extremely well.

So if you want to get help from an online therapist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety using mindfulness, then please contact me and let us schedule some Skype Therapy sessions.

See an Online Psychotherapist via Skype for Help with Anxiety

Do please contact me if you'd like help with anxiety. If you'd like to see an online therapist for help with anxiety then go to my website and learn about the online therapy for anxiety service that I offer via Skype.

So working with an online therapist is obviously very convenient and all the studies show that online therapy is just as effective as therapy in a face to face situation in a therapist's office. There's no difference, especially if you use Skype or other video platform, so you can see each other. That's the most important thing.

So Skype Therapy is much more effective than email therapy or some form of chat format. Because when you can see each other the efficiency of communication is greatly increased and that's quite important for working with the concepts of psychotherapy that can help you overcome your anxiety.

So I teach Mindfulness Therapy, which, over the years, has proved to be immensely effective for overcoming all kinds of anxiety, whether that's a generalized anxiety disorder, whether it's obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, or whether it might be fear of driving, or any other kind of anxiety that you might be struggling with.

Mindfulness Therapy really is excellent at helping you control those patterns of habitual reactive thinking that feeds your anxiety. It is probably the best approach available.

CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy is often recommended for working with anxiety and it's quite good, but I believe Mindfulness Therapy is the next step up from CBT.

It works much more directly with thoughts and with emotions. It works on changing your relationship to thoughts and emotions rather than focusing on trying to get you to change your thoughts by some form of rational intervention.

Often that's just not so effective because your thoughts are very much emotionally charged by anxiety to begin with and it's very difficult to just try and convince yourself that your thoughts are irrational and somehow stop those thoughts from bothering you.

Mindfulness Therapy doesn't try to change thoughts by some sort of rational argument but rather it works on actually neutralizing the emotional charge of those thoughts directly by working with the emotions that fuel the anxiety thoughts.

You will see for yourself just how effective this approach is. It only takes, really, three to four sessions with me to learn how to apply mindfulness for working with your anxiety, and I will guide you in how to do this and teach you in great detail how to apply mindfulness so that you can practice by yourself working with your thoughts and with your emotions between sessions. And after three or four weeks working with me you will see tremendous changes.

So please contact me if you would like to learn more. Thank you.

How to Overcome Anxiety through Mindfulness Meditation Therapy

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is one of the most successful psychotherapies available for overcoming anxiety disorders. It has elements of CBT but focuses much more on changing the actual process that creates anxiety and depression in the mind.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist offering Mindfulness Therapy, which is my specialty and which I talk about in my book, "The Path of Mindfulness Meditation."

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety through mindfulness meditation, do please go to my website and learn more about this unique approach to overcoming anxiety.

Mindfulness Therapy is particularly effective for anxiety and also for depression, and this is because it teaches you how to change your relationship to your emotions and to your thoughts so that you don't become so easily overwhelmed by recurring patterns of emotional reactivity or intrusive thoughts.

This is the major problem that most people face - is what we often call "rumination" or "automatic reactive thinking" that triggers the underlying emotion of depression or anxiety.

Mindfulness allows us to break free from this automatic process by making it conscious. We begin to see the thoughts as triggers and the moment we see the process happening we can stop it right there and then through becoming conscious of that trigger.

With practice you can learn to see thoughts and emotional reactions as they arise in the mind, but then you are able to stop them turning into anxiety and depression. In this way, we take the fuel away from that underlying anxiety or depression. If you stop feeding the fire of anxiety or depression then the emotion will burn itself out and healing becomes possible.

During Mindfulness Therapy we learn how to actually meditate on our anxiety or depression or other painful emotions. And, it is through this process that you begin to change the whole process that creates the emotional suffering.

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety or depression using Mindfulness Therapy, please go to my website and CONTACT ME and then we can schedule a therapy session over Skype.

Mindfulness Therapy works really well through online Skype therapy sessions. So, please go to my website and contact me. Thank you!

Speak with a Therapist Online for treating anxiety

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I provide online therapy for generalized anxiety disorder as well as other anxiety disorders.

And this online therapy service is available via Skype worldwide. All you need is a good internet connection and PayPal to make secure online payments for your sessions and you can schedule online therapy for your anxiety with me.

The approach that I use is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is very, very effective indeed for working with anxiety and particularly working with the incessant worrying and catastrophizing and repetitive thoughts that constitutes generalized anxiety disorder.

So the real problem here is that we tend to become lost in these thoughts, we become identified with the anxiety and that causes us to become controlled by these thoughts, and they tend to proliferate and feed that underlying anxiety.

Now Mindfulness Therapy, the training that I will give you during our online therapy sessions, will teach you how to change your relationship to your thoughts so that you can regain control.

This is the most important thing to understand: it is not the thoughts themselves that cause anxiety, it's your relationship to those thoughts. And when we have an anxiety disorder like generalized anxiety disorder we tend to become blindly identified with these thoughts.

But with mindfulness training you will learn to re-establish yourself as the Observer of these thoughts instead of becoming swept away by them.

When you can establish an objective relationship with thoughts then you basically stop that process that feeds the anxiety and feeds the proliferation of more worried thoughts or intrusive thoughts.

So we do this by actually learning how to apply mindfulness meditation to meditate on our thoughts and the underlying anxiety that is fueling those thoughts.

We don't try to stop the thoughts, we don't try to make them go away, we don't argue with them, and it doesn't matter whether the thoughts are rational or irrational. It doesn't matter what the thought is.

All that matters is to change the relationship that you have so that you can see these thoughts but not be affected by them. And one of the best ways is to actually invite those worry thoughts or intrusive thoughts into the mind, but with the express purpose of learning how to develop this mindfulness-based relationship with those thoughts.

So thoughts by themselves are not the problem. It's our relationship to them that is the problem. When you have an objective relationship then the thoughts become really no different than any other objects that arise and pass away in our field of consciousness.

But when you become identified with the thoughts then that prevents them from resolving themselves and they tend to persist and proliferate because of that identification.

With using mindfulness and practicing the methods that I will teach, you can expect to see significant reduction in the intensity of your anxiety episodes within usually three to four weeks.

I meet with you once a week and we learn how to apply mindfulness to work with intrusive thoughts during the session and we refine that process in each subsequent session until you have the tools to actually apply yourself to neutralize the reactive thinking and prevent the anxiety from feeding, essentially.

There are some other techniques we teach as well that work extremely well for all kinds of anxiety disorders, and I will teach you those as well during our online therapy sessions.

So, if you are looking to make real changes and you prefer not to rely on medications, which of course do nothing to change the underlying psychological habit that creates anxiety, do please contact me and we can schedule a therapy session at a time that works for the both of us. Thank you.
