Everyone that I have worked with really benefits from the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

"After 8 years, two therapists, many self-help books…..my hypochondria and OCD was worse than ever. I figured I would just have to live like this and deal with it. I put on a good show in front of people and cried alone. Then, I stumbled upon Peter’s website. I figured this was my last attempt. Peter is kind, understanding, and patient. He helped guide me out of the dark and see the light. He is truly there to help. He never looks at his time during sessions. I would have to remind him that time is up. His rates are reasonable so everyone cam get proper therapy. He gave me practical tools to use to overcome my anxiety. He is always available via email for advice. He truly cares about the progress of his patients. Peter changed my life and gave me the chance to enjoy my life again. I am eternally grateful to him."

During these Skype sessions I will teach you how to use mindfulness for recovering from all forms of anxiety, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, chronic depression, and addiction, including alcohol addiction and other forms of emotional suffering, by applying the well-tested teachings of Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy.

This approach is remarkably effective and you will see noticeable recovery after the first few sessions with me.

Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy is very effective for controlling anxiety and depression without the need for drugs. It is better to treat the underlying psychological cause of your psychological suffering rather than just suppressing symptoms.

Online Therapist Specializing in the Treatment of Anxiety Disorders via Skype

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong, and I am a professional online therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. I also treat depression online and I offer addiction counseling online, as well.

The psychotherapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is particularly effective for treating the underlying cause of anxiety and other emotional states like depression and OCD.

When we are working with anxiety, we need to not just talk about our emotions as in conventional "talk therapy", but we need to look at the underlying process, the process of reactive habitual thinking that creates the anxiety. Mindfulness Therapy focuses very closely on identifying these patterns of negative thoughts that generate anxiety, depression or addictions.

When we find these thoughts, we then begin the process of changing how they affect us. We do this mostly by the process of developing conscious awareness of those thoughts themselves. A thought only has power if operates habitually, out of awareness, and this is what we overcome during Mindfulness Therapy.

If you can develop conscious awareness of those reactive thoughts, then they are not able to convert into the emotion. It's like, the same as a car, if you place the car in neutral, that car can no longer move, no matter how much you press the accelerator. It's the same with reactive thoughts, they only have power if we are unaware of them and if we become identified with them, and we become overwhelmed by them, lost in those thoughts.

The second part of Mindfulness Therapy for treating anxiety disorders involves looking at the actual structure of the emotion underneath the reactive thoughts. What is the nature of that emotion? What is the internal imagery that holds that emotional imagery together?

For example, if an emotion is very intense, then the chances are that your internal picture of that emotion will be very large and very close. That's what you see internally and that's what you react to through over-thinking, or that's what your body also reacts to in the flight-or-fight type response.

When we can find this internal imagery, we can change it, using mindfulness to explore detailed changes that we can make that produce changes in the emotion. In this way we can actually reprogram that emotion, we can change it totally, we can defuse it, so that it doesn't get triggered. When we neutralize the emotion, then the reactive thinking begins to change also, because there is nothing fueling that reactive thinking.

So, these are two of the focuses of online Mindfulness Therapy that I offer via Skype.

Online therapists for treating anxiety without medications

Welcome. If you're looking for online therapists to help you overcome anxiety without depending on medications, then I invite you to take a look at my website.

My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional mindfulness therapist. I specialize in a system of psychotherapy called Mindfulness Therapy, also known as mindfulness meditation therapy, that I've developed some years ago now and have been perfecting over the last ten years at least and offering online to people who are interested in learning how to overcome emotional suffering without using medications or without years of talk therapy.

This style of therapy that I teach is really designed to teach you practical methods that you can use yourself to work with your mind. These are methods that are based on years of experience and have been found to be extremely effective for treating anxiety and depression and also for working with addictions and other forms of emotional suffering.

So all emotional suffering is basically based on patterns of reactive conditioned habits. Anxiety is not a disorder it's a habit. Depression is not a disorder it's a habit. These are habits that we learn. We are not born with anxiety or depression. These are habits that we acquire usually through the experience of emotional trauma and other forms of emotional suffering that we are unable to resolve at the time, so that they become stuck and then they form reactive habits.

But really the problem is simply the habits themselves and we need to focus on changing these habits and this is what we do during online Mindfulness Therapy. We change the underlying psychological habits that create your anxiety or depression.

How we do this by cultivating mindfulness, which means that instead of avoiding your anxiety or depression or emotional trauma we actually approach it in a very mindful and conscious way. This will include Meditation. That's why I use the term mindfulness meditation therapy, because we understand the importance of learning how to meditate on our anxiety or depression or other emotional pain.

If you try to avoid it, it will not heal and will simply grow. If you try to reject it or suppress it or distract yourself away from your unpleasant feelings then that will reinforce the underlying habits and the emotional suffering doesn't heal.

The tried and tested way to heal anxiety and depression is to meditate on your anxiety or depression. Now this is a skill and training. It takes some practice. And that's my job. I will teach you exactly how to do this, how to meditate on your anxiety to help it resolve and heal. Healing is the objective here, not just treating symptoms or trying to manage anxiety. We are not trying to manage it, we're trying to heal it, and the same goes for depression and the other forms of emotional suffering that we experience.

So if you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety or depression without using medications, then please send me an email and let's schedule a Skype Therapy session. I see people worldwide. All you need is a good Internet connection and a quiet place to conduct your sessions and then we can get started.

The mindfulness training that I offer online is very powerful and people see changes very quickly.

So medications may have some value and providing a temporary relief from symptoms but medications are not going to change those underlying psychological habits. And often talking about your emotions is really not getting to the heart of the emotions themselves and working on this reactive habit.

So Mindfulness Therapy is very effective because it does this and it does it in a very focused and very practical way, during sessions and gives you the tools to practice between sessions. So most people see dramatic changes in the intensity of their anxiety or depression or other emotional suffering usually within the first three or four weeks of working with me. And then what you learn will continue to grow and you'll get more and more back to a state of wellbeing, which is our natural state. Anxiety and depression are not natural states of being. They are learned habitual states of being.

So if you like the idea of online therapy and you would like to work with me then please send me an email and schedule a Skype Therapy session.

I will teach you how to apply mindfulness to overcome anxiety. This approach is very very effective. It's designed to teach you mindfulness-based methods for working with reactive thoughts and with your emotions themselves. How can I overcome anxiety without medication? Online Psychotherapist for Anxiety

My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional registered therapist based in Boulder, Colorado, USA. I offer online therapy using Skype. Let me answer your questions about psychotherapy via Skype, and when you feel ready, you can  a Skype therapy session with me. I typically meet with clients weekly for the first few weeks.

Overcome Anxiety without Medication

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional mindfulness therapist offering mindfulness therapy online for the treatment of anxiety and depression and other emotional problems. If you'd like to learn how to overcome anxiety without medication then I can definitely help you through these online sessions.

Mindfulness therapy teaches us that the prime cause of anxiety is the way that we identify with our emotions and with our thoughts. So what happens is that an emotional reaction gets triggered by triggers, which could be thoughts, they could be external events as a driving anxiety. It could be all range of factors: it could be physical sensations experienced in the body. These are triggers and what the trigger is an eventual emotional reaction. That is psychological and that habitual psychological reaction then triggers reactive thinking and behavioral reactivity, such as avoidance strategies. It also triggers bodily reactions, such as increased heart rate, increased perspiration, reddening of the face, and other common physical sensations associated with anxiety.

These reactions in turn trigger and feed the underlying emotional reaction and so it becomes a vicious circle. The secret is to really learn how to break this this reactive habit, this cycle in which one part triggers another part creating that anxiety. You need to learn for example to be able to isolate the triggers and see triggers without blindly reacting emotionally. We need to be able to see the emotional reactions and hold them in conscious awareness without allowing them to trigger thought reactions, and so on.

And we need to be able to also develop conscious awareness of body sensations that are produced by the anxiety without reacting to those physical sensations in the body with catastrophic thinking and other forms of emotional reaction.

So once we can start to separate these different elements and start to dis-identify from them then we can break the habit that creates the anxiety and feeds it. And once you start feeding the anxiety then the anxiety reaction itself, the emotional reaction, will begin to subside and eventually it will be eliminated or reduced to a normal level.

So this is the subject of mindfulness therapy, we learn how to identify the triggers, the emotional reactions, the thought reactions, the behavioral reactions, and the bodily reactions. We learn to separate each one from the others so that we can break this reactive cycle.

It's quite easy actually to do. The real problem is that we have never done this before. Most people have never really thought to look at the elements of their emotional reactivity, they just blindly identify with them. But there is, as we say in mindfulness therapy, there is no law that says you have to react in a certain way. The reactions are habits and habits are a product of blindness, of not being seen, as much as anything else.

So if you'd like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety without using medication, then please go to my website and e-mail me, and we can schedule a Skype therapy session at a time that works for you, and I'll begin teaching you the practical ways of managing your emotional reactivity. So I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
