Albert Haynes

Albert Haynes, a 21-year-old jockey, was severely injured when his mount, Cherry Blossom, fell at Daventry races on Monday, 28 May, 1928. Cherry Blossom brought down Pard which rolled over the stricken Haynes, who was also hit on the head by a flying stake uprooted by one of the other runners.

Albert Haynes died at Northampton Hospital the following morning.
