Ingredients
1 package brownie mix (We like to use Ghirardelli Brand)
1/2 cup TAO Olive Oil (see notes below)
1 cup milk chocolate chips (optional)
2 eggs
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup TAO Balsamic Vinegar (see notes below)
Sanding sugar for rolling
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Coat a 9" x 13" glass baking pan with cooking spray.
Follow the instructions on the brownie mix package.
Substituting the olive oil for vegetable oil, combine the brownie mix, eggs, water, and one cup of chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread with a spatula.
Bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean with a few crumbs but be sure to follow the package instructions. Do not overbake!
When the brownies come out of the oven and are still warm, pierce them all over with a fork, Drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the brownies.
Cover with aluminum foil and let cool completely.
Break the brownies up with a fork, make 1-inch balls, and roll them between your hands. Roll in sanding sugar and refrigerate until firm—about 2 hours.
