Ingredients
2 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
1 cup white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound grated Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons TAO Extra Virgin Olive Oil (or TAO Garlic Infused Olive Oil or TAO Herbs de Provence Infused Olive Oil)
Directions
Rub the inside of a fondue pot or heavy saucepan with the garlic halves.
In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and lemon juice.
In a large saucepan, heat the white wine over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
Add the cornstarch mixture to the wine and stir until it thickens.
Add the nutmeg and black pepper to the wine mixture and stir.
Gradually add the grated Swiss cheese to the mixture, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted.
Once the cheese is melted, stir in the olive oil.
Transfer the fondue to the fondue pot and keep it warm over low heat.
