Ingredients
1 can (15 ounce) butter beans, drained and rinsed
3 tablespoons olive oil (TAO Garlic Infused Olive Oil or TAO Lemon Pressato Olive Oil)
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2tbsp bone or veggie broth
Directions
In a food processor, combine the butter beans, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is smooth.
While the food processor is running, slowly add the water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached. The hummus should be smooth and creamy.
Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning, if necessary. Add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil.
Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or crackers.
