Aimee Schell-Davison
Class of 1991
Following her graduation from Big Piney High School, Aimee Schell enrolled at the University of Wyoming. In 1996, Aimee graduated from the university with a degree In Range Ecology and Watershed Management. For the next twenty-two years, Aimee was employed by various oil companies consulting them on the impact the oil and gas industry has on the environment.
From 1997 – 2002, Aimee found employment with EOG Productions in Big Piney. By the end of her tenure with EOG, Shell was responsible for the environment strategies used in the field at all well locations. This included aspects to wildlife protection plans as well as storm water runoff planning. In 2002, Shell Oil Company employed Aimee as the lead environmental specialist. Her role was to provide environmental and regulatory coordination and oversight on onshore U.S. oil and gas development specific to Pinedale. In 2006, the United States Department of Interior awarded Aimee with its “Best Management Practices Award.” The award was given for her development of a grass seed mixture benefitting the grouse, deer, and antelope populations of the oil/grass fields. These seed mixtures were later adopted for use by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Presently and since 2018, Aimee Schell-Davison is developer and owner of Blue Wing Consulting. Her successful business plan is to provide environmental and regulatory guidance to the gas and oil developers as requested by these various companies.
Blue Wing Consulting is not Aimee’s only business interest. She currently owns and operates, “Speed Goat Gear”, a company that makes a full line of accessories for outdoor biking activities.
Community involvement has also been an inspirational part of Aimee Schell-Davison life. She served for four years on the Big Piney Town Council. She also serves on the Marbleton-Big Piney Community Group. The group’s main goal is to promote both communities for growth and development and to make as many improvements to each community as possible. Over the many years as a resident, Aimee has also served on the Board of Directors for the Big Piney Search and Rescue Team.
