Last Second Pass to Win Wyoming State Championship ---2004
Prelude by Coach Eskelsen
Play by play: KMER radio announcers Butch Moretti and Dale Micheli
The Punchers were 65 yards away from the end zone with about two minutes remaining in the game. The next two minutes of play were a prime example of the existence of Puncher pride and tradition. The team ran the two minute offense with confidence and determination.
Personally, I cannot remember or didn’t know if it was third down or fourth down. We had run our 2-minute three/red pattern on the previous play and had a receiver open up late. We went back to the same play except changed the pattern to a “Z” on the back side. The receivers ran their patterns perfectly and QB Levi Greenwood looked right and threw left.
