Heidi Graham-Kaminski graduated from Big Piney High in 1997 leaving a perfect legacy of what student/athletes should seek to accomplish during their years as a high school student. Her abilities in the athletic arena were matched by those in the field of academics. Her academic awards during her four years as a Puncher go hand-in-hand with the numerous sportsmanship awards presented to her in both volleyball and basketball during her outstanding career. During this illustrious career, Heidi earned All-State honors in all three of her sports. She is the only known athlete to have done so as a Lady Puncher. Not only was Heidi a starter on the volleyball team for all four years, but she was named to the Rocky Mountain All-Conference team for four years. In addition, she was named the Conference Player of the Year as a junior and repeated the honor as a senior. Her senior year she was also named to the Class 2A All-State team. As a basketball player, Heidi helped lead a talented Lady Puncher squad to two Conference Championships culminating with State Consolation Championships in her freshman and junior years. Heidi was named to the Rocky Mountain All-Conference team three years. She was also selected to the Class 2A All-State team as a junior. As a senior, Heidi was selected to play in the Wyoming Coaches' Association All-Star classic. In track, Heidi matched her All-State honors in basketball and volleyball by earning All-State her junior year. Her gold medal finish in the 4X400m relay helped the Lady Punchers to a second place finish at the state meet losing the team championship by a mere one half point. Heidi's athletic career continued at the collegiate level with a two-year stint as a volleyball and basketball player at Mount Olive College, a NCAA Division II school. She started there both years before transferring to the University of North Carolina-Wilmington where she continued to play volleyball at this NCAA Division I school.
