In 1965, Paul Kulinsky graduated from Big Piney High School after establishing himself as one of the finest basketball players to wear a Puncher uniform. During the last three years of his playing days, the Punchers combined for a record of sixty-six wins and only four losses. After graduating, Paul went on and played basketball for two years at Sheridan Community College. Paul was selected an All-Stater twice by the coaches around the state and was also named twice to the All-State tournament team. His senior year, he was selected Most Valuable Player at the tournament and led Big Piney to a second place finish. As a trackster, Paul qualified and competed in the State Track Meet in the high jump. Paul later became a track and basketball coach at Kemmerer High School where he taught and coached for over ten years. He kept active as a basketball official around the Southwest Region of Wyoming for a number of years after giving up his basketball coaching position in Kemmerer. Paul Kulinsky has passed on from this earth, but the memories of his playing days have been and still are to be remembered.
