Even though his basketball abilities led to being named to the Rocky Mountain All Conference team, it was Terrell Brown's track accomplishments that landed him in this first class of the Big Piney Athletic Hall of Fame. This two year All-State trackster led the Punchers to their fifth straight state championship by winning all four of his individual events. His leap of 46'11” smashed the previous 2A state record and still stands as a record which may not be broken for some time. He matched that win with impressive championships in the long jump, 110m hurdles, and the 300m hurdles. Over his final two years, Terrell won three Best of Best Awards signifying his efforts were the best in all classes at the state meet. As a result of his accomplishments, Terrell Brown was awarded Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year, a first for any Puncher athlete. Over-all, Terrell won six individual state championships and was runner-up on three other occasions. Terrell matched his athletic abilities with his leadership qualities as he was elected Vice President of the Big Piney student body as a junior and as a senior was elected as the President of Big Piney High School's student body. In addition, he was a member of the National Honor Society, attended Boys State and was voted Mr. BHS to conclude his Puncher years. Terrell took his track talents to Weber State University where he lettered all four of his years for the Wildcat track team.
