A 2002 graduate of Big Piney High School, Stephanie Henry was a three sport athlete garnering eleven letters throughout her years as a Lady Puncher. She earned All-State three separate times during her fine career as a student/athlete. Although a talented basketball player, it was her accomplishments in volleyball and track that set her apart from others.
From the spring of 1998 until her 2002 graduation date, Stephanie Henry found great success as a middle distant and hurdler for the Lady Punchers. Throughout her four years as a 300m hurdler, Henry never finished less than third place, finishing second twice and crowned the state champion in her junior year. She also rose to the top of the awards stand as a member of a school record 3200m relay team and again as a member of a 1600m relay team. She amassed a total of twelve state medals while performing at four Wyoming State Track Meets.
An outside hitter on the volleyball team, Stephanie was named to the Rocky Mountain All-Conference team in both her junior and senior seasons. In her senior year, she exceeded those honors by being named to the Class 2A All-State Volleyball team.
During her four years, Stephanie, along with her teammates, received numerous Wyoming High School Activities Association's Distinguished Scholastic Achievement Awards and also earned Wyoming Coaches Association's Academic Awards for maintaining high grade point averages. Going hand in hand with academics, Stephanie was also a Wyoming Finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award presented by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
