Zach Wenz was a three sport letterwinner over his years at Big Piney High School. During his tenure, Zach was named to the Class 2A All-State teams in both football and track.
Wenz’ football talents helped lead the Puncher to two play-off spots during his junior and senior seasons. Rewarded for his leadership qualities and abilities, Zach was selected to the 2A All-State team after both his junior and senior seasons. After his senior season, Zach was selected to and participated in the Wyoming State Shrine Bowl.
His dedication to Puncher football is still evident as he has coached a Big Piney Pee Wee football team for the past eight years developing the skills required to carry on with the successes of the middle school and high school programs.
As a trackster, Zach Wenz earned his All-State honors by teaming with other Punchers to claim a gold medal in the 1600m relay at the 2011 Wyoming State Track Meet. Over his three years as a Puncher runner, Zach individually scored in the 200m and 400m dashes. Over the same three years, he helped Puncher relay teams score each year in the 1600m and 3200m relays.
In basketball, Zach’s leadership was again displayed as he was selected by the team to serve as the captain for the Punchers team.
Lastly, Zach Wenz’ support for Puncher athletics continues as he is, “The Voice of the Punchers” at all home football games.
