Graduating in 2002, Kyle Gerik distinguished himself as a three sport athlete who attained All Conference honors is each sport for at least two seasons. In addition, along with a great group of teammates, Kyle was a member of seven state championship teams, four of those in track and three in football. As a football player, Kyle was selected to the Class 3A All-State team in both his junior and senior years while helping lead the Punchers to two state championships. In addition, he was selected as the 3A Player of the Year. Not only did the Casper Star name him to their Super 25, they selected him as their Offensive Player of the Year. Kyle was the first Puncher football player to both rush and pass for over 1000 yards in the same season. Topping off his football honors, Kyle was inducted into the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame for Wyoming and is enshrined in it Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana. During his four years of All-State performances, Kyle stood on top of the awards stand on three more occasions as a member of state champion relays teams. As a junior, the 4X100m relay team recorded a time that still stands as a Class 2A state record. Kyle continued his football career by attending the University of South Dakota before transferring to Black Hills State University where he teamed with his brother Josh and eventually garnered All-Dak10 conference honors as a wide receiver/kick returner. Kyle is now a Second Lieutenant in United States Army stationed in Clarksville, Tennessee, awaiting orders from the U.S. Government.
