Graduating in 2013 ended an illustrious athletic career of Luke Barron. Over his years as a Puncher, Luke was named to the All-State football team as both a junior and a senior. He matched those honors as a member of the Puncher track team and added an individual gold medal along the way.
In track, Luke speed was on display throughout the Wyoming State Track meet. As a junior, Luke won gold in the 200m dash. He later teamed with fellow Punchers to add gold in the 400m Relay. As a senior, Barron again teamed with others in the 400m Relay to attain a third gold medal at the Wyoming State Meet. His efforts along with his team mates led the Punchers to a third-place finish among all 2A schools.
As a football player, Barron helped lead the Puncher to the state play-offs in both his junior and senior seasons. He claimed All-Conference honors in each of the years as the quarterback for the Punchers. The 2A coaches of the Wyoming Coaches Association bestowed the honor of All-State with his selection during his junior and senior seasons. At the conclusion of his senior year, Luke Barron was selected to play in the North-South Shrine Bowl.
As a two-year starter on the Puncher basketball team, Luke aided a talented Puncher team to a berth in the Wyoming State Basketball tournament.
