three views of a shoe

The instructions for this project were to grab a shoe of your choice, and simply draw that shoe in three angles. Side, top and I chose to draw the bottom too. I made the piece on a piece of regular paper with a regular mechanical pencil and an eraser. The first thing I did when I started, was I drew the basic shapes of the shoe (very lightly) then I made the outline of the shoe- again making sure to draw light. Then I drew the details; the instructions were to not draw all of the details in the shoe, but more of the outer details of the shoe.

I used line, shape and texture to create this piece. These create balance and pattern, as they were similar shapes on my shoe (that's why I chose the shoe). These similar “shapes” probably also have to do with balance as they create detail and make the piece what it is.

There is no story to this piece, I just drew one of my shoes. I was pretty happy with the outcome of my shoe drawings- although I somehow lost two drawings of the shoe. So now I only have 1 drawing and it’s the drawing from the side.
