3D structure inquiry 

I created this piece with the idea of those old colorful children's blocks. although this is a little more abstract than usual, I still think you can see the intent.

The painted was created with pencil (as a sketch), then I painted over it with gouache.

I was actually just bored because i forgot my investigation piece and started drawing cubes and this popped out of my head. this fit more with what I had in mind in the beginning so I just kept it as my final piece. I also wasn't actually trying to use all the colors in the rainbow but then I added the rings to complement with the colors and it turned very colorful.
