whatcha ma draw it

The idea for this piece was given to us, and my prompt was to create a car that could drive up stairs. I wasn't sure if I wanted the car to be completely different from anything else, or for just the wheels to be different. And I ended up with just the wheels. It was really fun creating this piece, just because I could really do whatever I wanted.

I created this artwork with pencil, fineliner, posco and the paper that was provided. I went through a little bit of testing when coming up with what materials I was going to use. I first thought that I would make a ton of different shades of grey for the stairs, but I wanted the background and the foreground to be a different style from the car. So I kept it simple- the complete opposite of the cross hatching I did with the car.

I tested a lot for this piece actually, I tested materials, I tested ideas and I tested styles.
