fidgeting
transparency paper, digital printer, printer paper, digital (procreate)
10.5x6.5"
I created this piece because I wanted to experiment with transparency paper because I found that you can create a shaky feeling just by overlapping the papers. I blocked out simple shapes for this piece because I knew it would get too crowded and unreadable if I added things like lines (I tried it, it's very crowded).
I started with a pencil and paper sketch and then transferred and tweaked it digitally (and added color). Then I printed the different colorways on the transparency paper and tested out which one worked the best with each other.
I used digital because I noticed that I could get a kind of chromatic aberration (where the colors start to separate in a photo), while at the same time feeling like it was moving.
