map design

The idea for this piece was to map out something, anything that resonates with you. So I mapped out where I would go to get to school every morning. Then I flipped 90 degrees and saw that it looked like a wire. Then this piece came to fruition. I really wanted to do it on paper at first, but I couldn't decide on a material that would work well, so I did digital. 

The materials could have been watercolor I guess, or alcohol marker, but I decided on digital. It started out on paper, with two sketches, then I transferred it to digital, I used procreate for the program. 

I wanted to try something different and make the person appear to glow. So pretty much I used two light sources, one very strong one to the left side, and himself as one. The wire that is considered the map is glowing as well because I wanted it to be obvious.
