investigation #10
pressure
fountain pen, fine liner, alcohol marker, bristol
9x12"
I created this piece with the idea of feeling pressure, and I wanted to make it a comic/graphic novel strip because I've always kind of wanted to do that.
I used bristol for the paper, and sketched out the outlines for the boxes. Then I sketched out my characters, and used fine liner and my fountain pen for outlines. And for the "before impact" part I used an alcoholic marker.
For the second box I wanted the viewer to feel anticipation, so I colored the character grey, and have it be a sort of "moment before disaster" situation. I also wanted to convey force and power in the third box by having the outline be different from the rest.
