Final Reflection:
I think my work has very clearly improved. Not only does my work feel more detailed in certain areas where I was not capable of putting detail, but also my compositions and my structure of people (and general living things) feel much more natural and less awkward. Like my first piece would be a good example, and although there is a lot of movement, it still feels awkward and somehow still. But in Investigation #9, my revision of #5, and even the x-tool project, everything feels much calmer and more developed. My projects also are sometimes an embodiment of how I think, because I question myself and other things a lot, so I like to give other people the chance to question my pieces. I always want the obvious answer to be hidden for the most part- that is if there is an answer or message. My most challenging piece was the duck stamp. My duck stamp took around 35 hours to finish, so it was a struggle near the last 10 hours to have the patience to finish it, but I wouldn't say that it was a skillfully hard piece to create. Out of all my pieces my favorite is probably my duck stamp or linoleum print. My duck stamp was just so rewarding at the end of it, and I just really love what I created with my linoleum print. I've always wanted to create a blurry effect but never remembered to try it out. Just the way the background contrasts everything about the main focus, I just love it. This summer I really wanted to up my skill in regards to my art. I want my compositions, my details, and my structures to be much more relaxed. I think I'll paint plain air, and probably some figure and life drawing.
