beautiful oop

The idea behind this piece was the top middle splatter, we had to create something from that splatter. Mine happened to look like the top of a candle. I didn't go through much thought on this piece, I basically drew whatever I thought of first. I wanted to try something a little different, and something I don't normally draw, so I did cross hatching. I didn't do normal cross hatching I did kind of my style of it.

I made this piece with a pencil (for sketching) and then went in with a micron fine-liner. I used a ruler for all of the lines, but I free handed for the candles.  I started with the sketch, then went in with the fine-liner, then I used posco for the black because I didn't have india ink on me. 

I really didn't revise, go through changes or anything like that. The idea came clear to me and I just created 6 candles.
