I created this piece from an art prompt, "Draw a princess eating peanuts while dancing with a frog prince". Originally I was going to make the piece very literal, where there was a human princess and a frog prince, but then I realized that I could make the princess a frog too. And this is what I would imagine a frog party would look like, I think their version of dancing is very still and looks awkward to us. 

I used watercolor for all the colors and roughly outlined everything in a black micron. I had a hard time figuring out how frogs looked, so I used a reference photo to better understand how they stand or sit. 

I wanted the focal point to be the two frogs, so that's why I faded the water in the back and the front and also faded the outlining.
