Robert Griffin's Story:

Robert Griffin has lived a fulfilling life. He was born and raised in Chatham, and he went commercial fishing with his father in the summers. When Word War II broke out, he knew it was only a matter of time before he would have to join the war. Robert's only two choices were either being drafted, or joining the war. So, he decided to enlist so he could choose what branch of the military he wanted to be in. He joined the navy and worked on the Islands off of Japan for three years. Robert worked on lander boats bringing soldiers to shore. He says that finding out the war was over is one of his happiest moments. After the war, he came home to Chatham. He got married and had kids, and just lived a "regular" life. Now he lives happily in Harwich.
