Ron Eppler's Story:
Ron Eppler was born in Kansas and moved to Cape Cod in 1976. He has and older brother and an older sister. His dad and grandfather both fought in three wars, which influenced him to join himself. At the age of 22, Ron enlisted in the marines. His hardest part of joining the military was leaving behind his wife and children on his son Tim's fifth birthday. He went to Saudi Arabia to fight in the Gulf War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_War_(disambiguation) )and has many dark memories. One in particular, was when him and the other men went to the oil fields after Saddam Hussein set them on fire; it rained oil on them and blacked out the sun for days. Ron gained a lot of self knowledge and life lessons from his time in the military.
