Kevin Duquette's Story:

Joining the military was something that Kevin Duquette had always aspired to do. Soon after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army with a desire to serve and protect his country. After enlisting in 1991, he had to do several rotations to different places for specific training for Iraq. He went to the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, and the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana where he conducted operations that simulated missions that he would face in Iraq. Duquette served in Iraq for a year and was first stationed at Camp Rustamiyah in Southeastern Baghdad, Iraq. He served in the 3rd Infantry Division as an Infantry Squad Leader and a Sniper Section Sergeant and was responsible for employing sniper teams out into missions which primarily included route security operations. Today, Duquette works as as an Urgent Care Technician at the Fontaine Medical Center, and as a Lieutenant at the West Barnstable Fire Station. His devotion to defend our country is shown in more ways than one. We thank him for sharing his story, his heroic military service, and his strong dedication to protecting our nation.
