"I miss, (pause) going out into the field and doing exercises, which is when we go out into the woods and do training with different equipment. Um, going out to the weapons range and shooting off all those big guns. We go to shoot this, I think it was a Mark 19, and it's a grenade launcher mounted, and the recoils on it was so intense, you're just going like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, shooting targets like 600 yards away, or 600 meters. That was fun, I got to blow stuff up."

Chrisanthony Barrows' Story:

Curtisanthony Barrows was born on January 29, 1990 in Wareham, MA. His current residence is New Bedford. As as child he loved to be outdoors and play with friends. When in his high school years he lived on Cape Cod and attended Cape Cod Technical High School for culinary arts. While at the Technical high school he learned skills that would help him in his life in the military. He thought nothing of joining the military, until his friends inspired him to join the military later in his life. While in South Korea his day started at four o'clock in the morning and ended around five o'clock at night. After his day was through he was free to do whatever he liked and he chose to explore the culture of South Korea. He had just turned twenty one when he joined the military.

He now lives happily with his wife, his newborn daughter and his two dogs.
