Craig Butilier's Story:
Craig Butilier is a Cape Cod native, that served in the Iraq war. He served from July 2002 to July 2009. Craig decided to join the war to follow in his father's foot steps. When he made his decision, he had full support from his family. During Craig's time serving in Iraq, he moved up in rank to Sergeant. His role besides defending America, was comforting the new men in his platoon. In addition, Craig soothed the Iraqi children by handing out candy. Therefore, he was dubbed the "Candy Man" by his fellow platoon members. After returning from war, Craig got a job as a carpenter in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
