Gordon Gibbons' Story:

Gordon T. Gibbons joined the Army on January 16, 1990 and was ranked an E-4 Specialist and placed in the 25th Infantry Division (Light) 1st Bn 14th Infantry in the Schofield Barracks on Honolulu, Hawaii.

After high school Gordon worked at Cuffy's folding sweatshirts and thought to try to find a better path with the military. He chose the Army mainly for the amount of money they would pay him. Once through basic training he was stationed in Hawaii with his Cohort Unit who he had been with since the beginning of basic training. Gordon says if he could go back he would also go to airbourne school to be able to jump out of the planes into combat.

Though he never saw combat, Gordon says that the Army showed him if he could make it in there, he could succeed at almost anything. Gordon also said the nice thing about being in the Schofield Barracks was that it was directly next to the beautiful Hawaiian shores. He would often go swimming on his free time.

Gordon currently lives in Yarmouth, Massachusetts with his wife and son. He is a police officer with the town of Yarmouth.
