William Harris' Story:

William Harris was in the Navy and was a part of the Cold War. He served on a aircraft carrier, when he was on the ship, he was an engine maintenance. He would fix airplanes when they had holes from guns firing at them or if the motor’s were not running he would mainly fix the but when they finished fixing the plains they would be the ones to test fly them before anyone else would. Towards the end of high school he had to figure out what he wanted to do and his parents didn’t have the money to send him to college so instead he chose to join the Military because his father served during World War II. He joined the Navy right out of high school when he was 18. He went to boot camp in New York for the Physical then he travelled to Bainbridge, Maryland for his basic military training. After his training he went into the navy. he started by repairing air plains. before that let the pilots fly the they would test fly them to make sure they are running well.
