Andrew Philbrook's Story:

After being born in Landstuhl, Germany where his father was stationed, Andrew Philbrook was destined to serve his country like many members of his family.

Andrew was born on May 24th, 1980 and when he was a kid moved from his birthplace in Germany to Cape Cod. Many of his relatives were in the military ranging from his father to his uncles to his brother-in-law. As a kid, he received basic education, going through elementary, middle, and high school. After high school, he went to college at University of Massachusetts at Amherst and went through the ROTC program.

Andrew enlisted in the Army part way through college and began training to become a sergeant and after lots of hard work and dedication he slowly moved into the position of an army engineer. During his first tour overseas on January 18, 2000 in Iraq, Andrew worked on various projects such as building infrastructure, and tearing down old buildings to make room for new ones. In Afghanistan, he completed more "horizontal construction" which consisted of repairing roads, building out posts, and any other heavy construction.

After his life overseas, Andrew began working for his father's construction company where many of his acquired skills gained overseas help him complete jobs today. He now lives in Yarmouth, Cape Cod with his wife and kids and still works with his dad's company.

This is Andrew's jacket with his achievement medals and ribbons.
