Michael Marry's Story:
Michael Marry was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1943. He went to Boston English High
School there. After graduating Michael had a variety jobs, he tried anything from carpentry, and working at Jordan Marsh.
Against his family’s wishes, he enlisted in the military with the goal of being a Marine. He believed they offered good training and education. After he enlisted they soon sent him to Paris Island where he went through heavy and difficult training, he also went to Camp Lejeune, South Carolina for advanced infantry training. It was a place where they throw everything they got at him.
Michaels field of expertise was working with aviation. He worked on many different aircrafts in his early days as an aircraft mechanic, serving on an F-8 Crusader
The best part of his training was the life-time friends he made while serving, including working with John Glenn. Although many of his friends are gone now, he maintained those friendships throughout his life. He also had good relationships with his Higher officers.
While in the military his job was to stay with the aviation. Michael was about to go into combat in the Vietnam War, but his orders got pulled, because they gave him other orders that he needed to follow instead.
