Donald McCorkindale's Story
Donald McCorkindale; a man, a father, a grandfather, a war veteran, a hero. Donald seems like your average kind of senior citizen, living a simple life on Cape Cod, but through his life he has experienced fierce combat on the other side of the world. He has interesting views on many different events from the past to modern day. Over seas, he was a Lieutenant and a fierce leader on the watery abyss in which he served. He was co in charge of a large ship, many soldiers, and the important mission of keeping the Germans that were stationed south of him in Africa, from advancing north through the Mediterranean region. He served for a year at the end of the war, came home, and a few years later married his wife. He then had children, worked, and moved to his humble home in Chatham, Massachusetts, where he still resides to this day. Through all the challenging experiences in his life, he still manages to be a very happy, friendly, humble, and active man.
