Daniel Marini's Story:

Daniel G. Marini lived in Quincy, Massachusetts when he and his friends decided to enlist in the military in the year of 1950. The four men were hoping to get placed in a less active area of the military by enlisting, rather than being drafted.

When the day came for them to enlist, only Daniel followed through. Unfortunately, because he enlisted, he was placed in the middle of the Korean War. His friends were put in areas that were not as hostile as Korea.

When Daniel got to South Korea, he found himself to be the only medic in the area. Daniel learned a lot serving in the Air Force for three years. Daniel had worked at a shipyard before he enlisted, but had never considered that to be a career he would continue for long. He had gotten pharmacy training for about half the year in Japan. When he got back to his outfit he opened up a small pharmacy.

When Daniel got back to the states, he went to Pharmacy school. He attended the New England College of Pharmacy and did excellent there. When he came back, he was happy just to be back with his family. Daniel now resides in Chatham, Massachusetts.
