Anthony Chapman is a hero! Anthony was born and raised on Cape Cod. He grew up in Hyannis, Massachusetts and went to Barnstable High School. Anthony enjoyed swimming and going to the beach as a kid and he never imagined joining the military when he was younger.

When Anthony was older his brother encouraged him to join the military after high school. Anthony listened to his brother and joined the army several years later. Mr.Chapmen trained at the armory in Hyannis, Massachusettes.

Anthony fought hard for our country and he is a very brave man. Anthony saved many life's and protected his fellow soldiers. Anthony fought in Baghdad, Iraq during his years of service. Mr.Chapman joined operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and served until 2005. His diet while in Iraq consisted of sea urchins and care packages filled with candy which he later gave to the kids in Baghdad. He loved all kids of any ages. He loved getting letters from his family and writing back to them as much as possible.

We owe our dedication to Anthony for serving in the army and risking his life to help our country. Anthony is now living in Orleans, Massachusetts and works at Nauset Regional Middle School.
