Peter Ehnstrom's Story:

Peter Ehnstrom was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he also went to high school. He wanted to join the Air Force, but after being told he couldn't be a pilot he decided that it wasn't the place for him. Through conversation with several friends he decided to join the Navy. He went through basic training at Great Lakes, Illinois (he lovingly refers to it as "Great Flakes" in our interview.) During his time of service he visited Spain, the Philippines, and [REDACTED]. His service began in 1959 and ended in 1963. After serving he worked as a Xerox employee until retirement. He now resides in Lakeland, Florida. He has a total of six grandchildren.
