Robert Coane's Story:

Have you ever wondered how our military protects us from the sky? Former Air Force Staff Sergeant Robert Coane served six years in our nation's Air Force. He enlisted after high school to serve in the Vietnam War. During his time in the Armed Forces, he traveled to a handful of Air Force bases across the U.S to go on airborne missions, some of the places included Fire Island NY, Alaska, and Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod. His job was to protect our nation from the sky, by monitoring air traffic and detecting whether the passing aircrafts were friendly or threatening. Robert was married during some time off of his military duties. After he finished his services completely, he began living on Cape Cod. He now is a storeowner and resides in Dennisport, MA.
