Robert Leaver's Story:

Dr. Leaver was awarded the rank of colonel because of his courage, commitment and dedication to his service. He was shot at in a helicopter and performed life-saving surgeries under harsh and dangerous conditions.

Colonel Leaver's father also was in the army as a Doctor, so his family moved around a lot. As a matter of fact, he lived in eleven different states and attended eleven different schools.

Dr. Robert Leaver's service in the military allowed him to attend medical school.He received his doctor training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and his surgical training at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. He established and founded Neurosurgeons of Cape Cod.

He served in the Medical Corps during the Vietnam war, as a doctor. He also served as a doctor in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq. He was the head neurosurgeon at his base in Vietnam, which came with a lot of responsibilities. Dr.Leaver had to make sure every thing at the hospital was going smoothly and if the other doctors were having trouble he would help and resolve the issue. Currently Dr. Leaver resides in Dennis with his wife Priscilla.
