Our first parent volunteer event of the year took place last weekend. A huge thank you to all the parents who donated and helped run the bake sale at our EYFS open day.

With the help of a parent volunteer we are launching a second hand costume shop. This is a great opportunity to clear out fancy dress items your children no longer need, find solutions to dress up days coming up, and support the DC Community in a sustainable way.

How it will work:

Donation of used or new fancy dress items.

Parents wishing to donate items can drop them off at Pedestrian Gate 4 or Pedestrian Gate 6 on designated days, these will be published ahead of time in the newsletter and Class Dojo. 

Selling items

If you have a high end item that you prefer to sell we can facilitate this in the following way:

• Drop off your item on the designated day at the correct location* 

• Collect a receipt from our parent volunteer

• Collect your share of the revenue (50 QAR) within 2 weeks of being contacted by our parent volunteer

Funds 

All funds raised will go towards our Community Fund, details of which will be shared with parents at regular intervals through the newsletter, towards the end of the year.

Buying items 

Your first opportunity to come and buy items will be on Wednesday, 5th November and Thursday, 6th November. More details will be provided in next week's newsletter.
