The wadjet is a creature that wanders freely between the realm of plague and realm of war to maximize the food it has access to

it has a special organ that allows it to shoot its venom at high velocity, that mixed with its great aim and the fact that its venom also works as a potent acid allows it to hit opponent from a safe hiding place then simply wait for the venom or acid to kill the victim before coming close for the meal

wadjet are very difficult to tame even if raised from birth in addition somthing human sized cannot ride one so they are only ever seen as a companion to eccentric halflings or gnomes who are small enough to mount one and bored enough to train one

the wings of a wadjet are not used to fly but to help propel its heavy head into the air and keep it steady so it can aim.
