the beautiful female protectors of the forest the dryad true form is that of a tree.

Culture

the dryad are non-aggressive and shy creatures that live deep in forest far far away from any civilization. should any evil enter their grove the dryad will fight along-side the fey or other creatures to protect the place they call their home.

dryad are great judges of character and can tell if a person is kind just by looking at them any individual that is spotted by a dryad that has shown no aggression towards the area, is not evil, kind, and highly attractive may cause the dryad to fall in love on sight. children born with a dryad mother are always the race of their father

dryad can use trees as 'teleporters' simply walking into a tree will dimension door the dryad to another of her choosing. in addition she can control plants to learn of what others are saying, see what their doing, to please the object of her desires, or even to attack if the need arises

at the end of the day the real body of a dryad is a tree and if that tree is damaged then the dryad will take the same damage. should the dryad die but the main body be safe then she will revive inside her tree the next day

History

the dryad is said the be born when a tree grows to an age so extreme it is able to manifest itself. it is said that this can happen even to objects but no known cases exist. the reason as for why the dryads are always so far away from each other and why their always female is unknown
