Slimes are walking eating machines capable of eating through the very ground they sit on given enough time. most are see-through and come in a grand variety of colors and some can camouflage into their environment at will. while generally considered "the beginners first kill" underestimating a slime may lead to a slow agonizing death with no hope of revival.
Culture
slimes are sticky, and anything that touches a slime will be unlikely to separate from it once it has hold of you it will then pull you into it. allowing it to immediately start digesting you. a slime can digest anything placed into it, given enough time. and even something not in it, such as the floor it sits on or and walls its pressed up against
slimes reproduce via asexual fission meaning once it has eaten enough it will split into multiple slimes
Flesh Slime
as seen in the highest pic its technically not an real slime but a necromantic amalgamation of flesh, teeth, and eyes. this moderate level undead is somtimes referred to as a "Gibbering Mouther" this 'slime' constantly has eyes and mouths appearing then sinking into the flesh and disappearing only form more to take its place. when faced with enemies it will immediately start to "talk" in the various voices its parts had in life what it says is gibberish but anything that can hear it must save vrs spell or be confused
should somone who can recognize one of the voices be nearby correctly calls the name of the individual that voice belonged too the flesh slime will stop everything its doing for one turn focusing all its eyes on the individual in question as if trying to remember them. before giving up and resuming its attack. this only works once per voice
Gelatinous Cube
as seen in pic 2 this slime is in the shape of a cube and is as large as the place it lives in. its instinct is to find a dead end in the dungeon or cave, then make its way to where the path to that dead end begins and block off another direction prey could go, and finally camouflaging to look like the surrounding walls. once its prey walks by and starts down the dead end it will soon after follow. with nowhere to run its prey is forced to fight or die
Ooze
in pic 3 is a the ooze, the most common slime at 4- 8 ft in diameter and the most varied in its strategy, it can drop on its prey from above, hide in a small hole and gush out when prey arrives, attach itself to a door and when the door is opened drop onto the opener, changing its color to pretend to be a rock, mixing with lake and surprising foes near the edge, or just outright chase after whatever it wants to eat.
Goo Girls
pictured right is a creature that had been invented for slavery they are the magical merging of a slime and a female valley elf, they arent very useful as slaves for anything but deviant reasons but those deviant reasons are generally enough for them to be sold for high prices.
slime girls are every bit as bubbly as valley elves and will happily do whatever is told of them simply so that they can be praised, but due to being clumsy and made of goo they fail at most tasks. unlike normal slimes that will try to eat whatever is placed into them a goo girl will actively avoid eating anything it knows it shouldnt. allowing them to be used for storage, even if awkwardly
should a goo girl somhow make it into the wild, it will feed on vegetation staying in the shade as it wanders about surprising passerby with its enthusiastic waving. goo girls have a slightly smaller diameter(3-6 ft) then ooze's due to always having a female figure sticking out.
