the legendary kraken is the terror of the seas, but its looks can be simplified to just an enormous squid
Culture
the kraken is well known as a terror of the seas if there is ever a boat missing peoples default reactions outside of wartime are 'must have been a kraken'. while krakens are rare in the open seas due to just how large the open seas are most boats that are destroyed are by krakens, scylla prefer to attack docks, and leviathans arent interested in boats
kraken are the terrors of the sea. kraken are aggressive hunters when they arent attacking boats and giving sea giants a headache they are attacking anything in the sea they can eat and occasionally things on the shore if its big enough to risk the effort.
when in combat with a ship it will constrict the ship and try to pull it down, this also gives the people on board the chance to attack the tentacles. for every tentacle a kraken loses it has a 12.5% chance of retreating should it feel the need to run it will squirt ink on it way. kraken ink does more then just blind whoever in the water its also quite acidic and will cause somones flesh to start to burn if they come in contact with it. it is not deadly however and drowning is a far greater concern
kraken tentacles and ink are highly prized due to the taste of thier limbs and varied usage of their ink. should one spray ink it is encouraged to get a bucket and start gathering water. strain the ink out of it and you will make a pretty penny
