An abomination or 'lesser flesh golem' looks exactly how the creator wants it to look. but the most unavoidable features are all the stitching required to hold the various bits from all the creatures used in its creation together
Culture
an abomination is a mound of flesh and organ haphazardly put together to form a large stupid beast that serves its masters every command. it is far more capable then zombies and more versatile then flesh golems. making it popular even among highly powerful necromancers
as if that wasnt enough it also a strange level of intelligence. the process of making an abomination requires you to give it enough organs including brain tissue. this brain tissue allows it for some level of lesser intellect. abominations always see their master as their parent
because the purpose and the parts to make a abomination are so varied the size of a abomination can be anywhere from man sized to giant sized and beyond it can even have various abilities built in or left out if a necromancer is enthusiastic enough . some abilities it could have include exploding on command/death into a gaseous cloud equivalent to a stinking cloud spell, or exploding in an acid explosion onto all nearby enemies, perhaps the explosion can be more fire based or even have cloudkill inside, they might even have a regeneration spell placed on them, have a nest of maggots that attack its enemies inside, or have an opening around their stomach with teeth placed in the sides it can use as an alternative mouth. the abilities of an abomination are limited only by the imagination of the necromancer
the amount of attacks the abomination can use are based entirely off how many limbs the abomination has, whatever special abilities where given to it, and how effective the abominations various parts are. an abomination with no ability and three arms but one arm is on the back, too far away to be used effectively in frontal combat, it will have 2 attacks per round or even 1 depending on how slow it is.
a abomination is stupid and can be tricked. but cannot be bribed or reasoned with. its loyal to its master and will never purposly neglect a command even if that command is to die. the abomination is made up of rotting bits and pieces so it does not suffer from rigor-mortis like a zombie and has full range of movement. but its flesh may be to weak to make some of these movements so it requires annual repairs
an abomination thats made to fight will likely have armor, weapons, and arms. it is up the the dm on the specifics of such things
History
while the quality varies from abomination to abomination most abominations are made via magic. but one Dr. Frankenstein wanted to make somthing beyond an abomination he wanted to remake a human then bring it to life as his own creation. he had no skill in magic but he did have his intellect and science! so he went to work collecting body parts from cemeteries carefully filtering the corpses to find the parts most suited for his creation. using the power of a lightning storm he focused that electricity to bringing his creation to life. this unconventional creature didnt last long when the locals found out and proceeded to torch it and chase him out of town. but this is the first case of an abomination made without magic
